"This might disturb many Dispensational sensitivities, but the Lord no longer has a covenant with ethnic Israel – they broke that covenant and God rightly judged them for it."

Is there an explicit verse where the covenant is broken? And which covenant?

First of all, Hebrews is clear that the ratification of the New Covenant of Grace has rendered the Old/Mosaic Covenant obsolete (see Jeremiah 31:31-34 and Hebrews 8:1-13).

Second, when we look at the curses associated with breaking covenant with God (Deuteronomy 28-30), and we see the language of John the Baptizer, Jesus, and the Apostle John in Revelation (I mentioned some in the post), we see that ethnic Israel has broken covenant with God, and not only has there been no restoration for over 2000 years, but the way it is spoken of in the New Testament points to a finality and permanence (see Matthew 21:33-44; 22:1-14; 23:1-39).

Third, all of the promises made to ethnic Israel through the OT covenants (Abraham, Moses, and David) have either been fulfilled before the coming of Christ or in the life, death, and resurrection of Christ Himself. God promised Abraham descendants as numerous as the sand by the sea, a land for their people, and kings (Genesis 17:1-8; 22:15-18). These are all fulfilled before we get to the end of the OT (see 1 Kings 4:20-21 - we have a king, we have a land, and we have descendants as numerous as the sand by the sea). God promised Moses that so long as the people obeyed God and kept His covenant, they would be His treasured people, they would be a kingdom of priests, and they would be a holy nation (Exodus 19:1-6). Since the destruction of the Temple in 70AD, which is clearly judgement upon ethnic Israel, there has been no priestly service or system, no holy nation set apart to the True and Living God, and Israel (except for those who have come to faith in Christ), has persisted in abject apostasy and rejection of God through their rejection of Christ.
