Still picking up the rainbow pieces
In 2019, I remember June, or as I have come to call it, Pride Comes Before Destruction Month, as being a month when almost every store had rainbows everywhere, were selling rainbow themed merchandise, and many companies created a rainbow version of their logo. It was an all-out queer colonization, and sodomites would not be content with anything less than total market domination.
I remember some pretty laughable examples, such as an airline company trying to say that whether you were the male part of the seatbelt or the female part, it didn’t matter. Except, seatbelts only work safely, and really at all, when the male end enters the female end with a click. I also remember Hydro One, an electricity company, flying rainbow flags in town. Again, the entire premise of electricity exists in a binary. You have positive and negative charges – that’s all. You have male plugs and female outlets. These fools really do know how to beclown themselves.
My point is this: it was everywhere. Every store window, every commercial on TV, every public library displayed the rainbow ensign. It’s as if Satan had WAY too much to drink and was vomiting rainbows all over Canada. Things also didn’t subside during COVID. In fact, sodomite parades were some of the few exceptions to lockdowns and stay-at-home orders. It’s worth noting that in 2022, there was a surge in COVID cases in July, almost entirely due to queer celebrations and orgies.
Changing tides
Then, something began to happen last year. People started to push back against the queer takeover. Stores and companies were boycotted in huge measure. Parents began to show up at school board meetings. Athletes refused to participate in “Pride Nights.” People were voicing their displeasure, and the impact was real. Allow me to give just a few examples.
Bud Light engaged in a marketing campaign to sell beer to blue-collar men which featured an evil and mentally unwell man pretending to be a woman. They failed spectacularly. The owner of the company had to take a 30% pay cut. Sales were down 25% overall, with some distributors reporting as much as a 50% drop.
Disney tried to infuse queer ideology into many of its movies and shows. What did that look like? Disney+ lost over 700,000 users. Disney’s total revenue in 2023 was down by $5.5 billion, and they had to cut over 7,000 jobs. Their recent Snow-White movie – a Woke hot mess – lost over $100 million.
In 2023 the Texas Rangers were the only MLB team to not have a Pride Night, and they ended up winning the World Series. In 2024, 10 NFL teams opted out of Pride Nights. In 2024, the NHL banned Pride Nights because of the number of players who refused to wear queer jerseys. Lost ticket sales reflected the stance of the players. Apparently, most people who consume professional sports – men – don’t enjoy being told that they should celebrate sodomy.
Who would have thought it?
A more muted rainbow
All of this brings us to this year, where I, and several people I have discussed this with (including my wife), have noticed a substantially less queer campaign than in recent years. I have been to countless stores so far this month that had nary a single piece of Pride signage or advertising (except for the trans flag the mall stuck on their doors years ago). I have only seen one Rainbow display at a store’s entrance.
Just this year alone, in a rather significant series of announcements, Home Depot, Google, Adidas, and Nissan have ended their support of “Pride Toronto.” Maybe it’s because of the highly obscene sexual displays visible to children. Maybe it’s the number of gross sodomites parading nude in downtown Toronto while grinding on other equally gross men.
It appears that the queer colonization has retreated, at least for now. It appears that after many people expressed their disagreement, companies have backed off. Perhaps all of the protests, social media posts, bad press, and financial losses have made companies think twice about going gay. Many companies have not changed their social media and website logos to a rainbow themed one either.
Don’t celebrate total victory just yet
While I am quite pleased at this turn of events, I am not quite as optimistic as many others. I don’t necessarily see this as a win, or at least a long-term win, because I think the response, as well as what’s coming next, won’t be that much of an improvement. Allow me to explain.
One of the largest opponents to feminism, the trans agenda, and the queer colonization have been the Red-Pilled Chads and Bros in the Manosphere (If you have no idea what any of those words mean, read this and this).
This movement, which has gained tremendous traction in both the online world and inside of the Evangelical Church, takes a correct view of clearly defined masculinity and femininity, but presses them out to their unhealthy and pagan extremes. It addresses Woke problems with other Woke problems, replacing the Woke Left with the Woke Right.
For example, rather than be a weak, gay man, a real “Bro” is supposed to make lots of money, get jacked at the gym, have sex with as many women as he wants (maybe he’ll marry one to give him children in his home), all the while having no problem spreading his seed far and wide. They would say that monogamy is gay, commitment and self-control are gay, and elevating women (as the Scriptures teach) is gay. Total distortion.
How about the ladies? Enter the Trad-Wife movement. Women are not supposed to have sex with lots of men. While that is God’s design, these women accept the hypocritical position that the men, or Chads, are totally fine in being whores themselves. High value men are the real prize, these women are told, and since the only thing they have to offer men is their bodies, sex, support, and homemaking, they are easily replicable, so they should just shut up and thank God for the real man they’ve nabbed. Godless drivel.
These ideologies, from another perspective, do what the gay colonizers do: they redefine what it means to be a man and a woman, they distort Biblical norms and roles, and they encourage a kind of sexuality that is gross and dehumanizing. It’s no wonder that many of the evangelists for Red-Pilled masculinity are sympathetic to or are themselves Muslim. Afterall, very few other worldviews elevate men as superior, while also denigrating women as second-class humans.
Ditch-jumping
This is usually how it goes in culture. One generation promulgates an aberrant ideology that is evil and harmful, and the next generation, rather than course correct in a balanced fashion, proceeds to steer the ship hard into the other direction, slamming into an entirely new set of hazards. Allow me to demonstrate.
The almost Victorian 50’s gave rise to the Sexual Revolution and Feminism of the 60’s and 70’s. This in turn gave birth to an anti-masculine gender fluidity in the 2000’s. This would create a surge in men who were even more enslaved to porn, and who began to opt out of marriage entirely. This has morphed into our current Red-Pilled era with a hyper-masculine, superior quality about it. What’s next? I’m not too sure, and I’m no prophet, but I have a sneaky suspicion that what will be next is a different version of a prudish, Victorian cultural movement, where the real virtuous people rise above their “animalistic” desires for sexual intercourse with other people, and opt instead for AI sex bots in the privacy of their own homes, while others embrace celibacy in response to all of the debauchery.
In any event, the Church has an opportunity to speak the truth about sexuality into a dead world that furthers demonic sex agendas. We have a message of peace and hope found only in Christ, and the glory of transformed minds, hearts, and a new identity. The Church has fumbled the cultural ball for the last 50 years, and we can no longer afford to retreat to our sanctuaries and wait for the dust to settle.
I don’t know how the rest of Pride Comes Before Destruction Month is going to play out, but I’m here for it, and I will devote the entire month to writing on related topics. If you are interested in seeing what I wrote last year during the month of June, you can get all of those articles here, here, here, here, and here.
Great article! Thanks Andrew!
